Hey gang. I switched our lunch to Friday (27th) instead of Thursday due to lingering rain chances on Thursday. Friday looks beautiful with slightly warmer temps. Hope to see you at “The Grill at Whispering Woods” for lunch on Friday Feb 27 at 11:30 am. I will call Michelle over there and switch our reserved table to Friday. I’ll request the best table in the house with of course a custom Welcome Romeo sign .. for that personal touch
Hope you can make it on Friday. Looking forward to seeing you !!

Great RTE today gang over to The Grill at Whispering Woods in Jordan Arkansas. We had 15 riders which included one new ROMEO hopeful .. Scott Merryman who is Todd Merryman’s brother. We also had one driver. Mr. Fred Harmon drove his beautiful corvette. Man he looked good behind the wheel. Anyway, we were so glad that Fred came back for a second day. He also shared his fried cod appetizer with us. Man was that good ! So good, Leo chose it as his entree with some armadillo pie .. or possum pie. That looked real good too. I probably should have just gotten coffee and maybe two pieces of pie. My burger was nothing to write home about. Still, our server did a good job. We had a great table outside and the weather was delightful. Had a great time hanging out with our ROMEOS today !!
As for next week, I am unavailable on Wed and Thursday. The Baxter hospital is engaging me further with my volunteering duties. Joining a new board starting next week. We also have some rain and cooler temps coming. I’m thinking about some good breakfast at Brenda’s on Tuesday morning. I’ll get us a table reserved. Look for that post soon. More great rides coming !!
And lastly, Leo is having some orthopedic shoulder work next Tuesday March 3rd. Please keep him in your prayers. We want him back as soon as we can get him.

My (Ed) 2023 KLR 650S. S is for shorter .. even though it’s still a very tall bike. KLRs are really nice and rugged bikes. Norfork dam is in the background. Water very low.
Joey Crawford. So glad you came Joey. Let’s catch up a bit more next time. Always good to see you.
Fred Harmon showed up in his beautiful corvette. The pie must have drawn you back to us for a second day in a row. I doubt it was the food. I was just not impressed.
Gary and Steve. Great you could join us. Always enjoy the trio .. Joey and you two. Fun bunch.
Scott Merryman (Todd’s brother) from the Greers Ferry area. Please join us when you can. Separate checks next time !!
Mr. Glenn Brouwer. We had a great ride on our dual sports after lunch. Great trails Glenn. I’ve never seen my KLR dirty.
Glad to see you Steve Rogers. I had the same jacket as you did. I find that honey bees are attracted to that color.
John Hamilton stayed close to me during our RTE event .. making sure I behaved myself. Mike Rowland was adjusting his britches a bit.
Steve, Glenn, Fred, Mike R. and John enjoying some before lunch convo.
John was reaching out his hand to Todd Merryman for a friendly handshake, but Todd just wanted nothing to do with it. Todd would rather go toe to toe with you than shake your hand. Just teasing. Todd is a teddy bear and a great guy. He is my personal Ride Director body guard. Nobody mess with me.
There it is again. I approach Scott Merryman and he reaches for something. I may impose a NO conceal carry on our RTEs.
Hi Leo. Thanks for coming. Your last ride for some time. Surgery on March 3rd. Praying for your expeditious and healthy return.
John and the two Merryman brothers talking about motorcycles I presume.
Jim Eickman approaching me to give me a couple solid gold momentos. I will cherish them always. Mike Roland watching Mike Newlun in disbelief as Mike tried for ever to remove his helmet. He finally realized the chin strap was still connected. It happens.
Always a treat seeing our Ex - Ride Director. Leo loves his pie. He got the cod sticks, coffee and pie. They could not mess those up. Smart man.
Good pic of Mike N, Mike R and Jim. Mike N got his helmet off it appears.
Todd Merryman’s Kawasaki. Nice helmet.
Neil did show up. He’s not a fan of the grill .. but we’re sure glad he enlightened us with his presence. They broke the mold with that man. A good guy !
Few bikes lined up outside the grill. We had bikes parked everywhere.
Few ROMEOS admiring Scott’s nice V7 Moto Guzzi.
Couple of my favorite ROMEOS Glenn and Jim. Don’t get me wrong .. I love them all .. Neil included. Great bunch of fellas.
Glenn and I had a great ride on some gravel and dirt roads after our RTE. Glenn knows some great roads. Enjoyed Dual Sporting .. and my pretty KLR got dusty.
Good thing you are married Fred. You’d have them hanging all over you. The beautiful vet would not hurt your chances either. Best looking corvette I’ve seen in a long time.
Neil has so many Moto Guzzis. Sometimes before a ride I’ll ask him what he’s gonna ride that day. His response is always .. “a Moto Guzzi.”
Good pic of Neil’s V65 Lario. He really wound that thing up when he left the ride. It sounded real good and everything seemed to hold together pretty well.
Scott Merryman’s beautiful V7 Moto Guzzi. We are considering renaming our chapter to The ROMEO NCA Moto Guzzi club. We just need to get about 47 more of our riders addicted to this Italian phenomenon. If we can do that, Neil will take over as RD.
Gary’s cool retro Honda Pacific. This one is their special exclusive Tupperware edition. Gary was gonna ride his beautiful Harley, but the battery was not well.
Couple ROMEOS at the overflow table. Looks like John was trying to control his hands again. Like I had posted before .. his many past girlfriends loved his quick and unpredictable hand speed.
Several of us were looking for Leo. He ordered coffee and pie and then he just vanished. I managed to get a picture of him just wandering the parking lot. We’re keeping a close eye on him.
Leo finished his delicious fried cod appetizer and was wondering .. now what ! He looked very satisfied and at peace. Fred was chewing, sleeping and describing the size of something all at the same time. Again, we are glad he came back to hang out with us.
Great turnout today !! We did have a great time.
Fred holding up our custom ROMEOS welcome sign. Thank you Whispering Woods for that cool sign.
Few of our nice bikes in a row. There were many others throughout the parking lot.
Steve Rogers Kawasaki. Nice to see Steve as always.
Great pic of Bill, Glenn and Fred. A LOT of smarts between those three men !!
And it would not be a complete post without a pic of my friend Whisper. I gave him a few small pieces of my hamburger meat .. he sniffed and just ran. WTF !
Thank you Whispering Woods for accommodating all of us. We had a good time !!
