The Atlanta Café has reopened under new management, and it’s been recommended by one of our riders. Let’s show up Wednesday and give them a little support while we enjoy a good lunch.
Atlanta is only about fifty miles from Wichita; it should be a great destination for our last ride of summer (autumn starts on the following Wednesday.)
If you’re coming in from the north off of US 54/400, be sure to slow down to 50 when you reach Leon. (Waving at the nice policeman with the radar gun is optional…)
TIME:
12:00 Noon, Wednesday, September 15
PLACE:
Atlanta Café
323 Main St

I’m still looking for some good locations south of Wichita. Let me know if you have a favorite that can accommodate a couple dozen hungry motorcyclists.
I hope to see you all there.

Howdy Gang,
Big Bad John in Colorado.
We are west of Pueblo Co at 6000 ft. 80's day, 50's nIght. Clear sky and PLENTY OF SUNSHINE.
We MIGHT be back on Wednesday for the ride, then down to Winfield for the music festival. Eat yor heart out.
Later,
John.

Let's have the Small Group meet at MotorSports again. You will leave at 11:00.... Notice that I said "you"--not "we"......I have a Doctors appointment. ( Got to get all the Doctor appointments in that I can before OBAMALACKA CARE kicks in.) Enjoy the ride---Enjoy the lunch....
Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wed., Sept. 15, Noon
It looks like it'll be warm with a 30% chance of rain (which is also a 70% chance of no rain) at launch time and through the rest of the day. My mom's being transferred from the hospital to the nursing home today, so things should be calmed down enough for me to run off for a couple of hours. I'm packing the rain gear in the top box and riding...

WOW, The "overcast" skys made for some very comfortable riding over to Atlanta this morning, and not a drop of rain, which was
nice. Looked like a good turn-out, and the "special" was very good. Returning back to Wichita, the sun was out and it started getting
quite warm by the time I made it home. Thanks for setting the lunch ride up Roger.... We appreciate it !

It was a good morning for a ride, and the day got better after lunch. We had sixteen in attendance. Keith returned to his DR650 and found a flat tire (wire is a common hazard in agricultural areas, I guess.) I had a compressor in the top box of my ST1300, but nothing to patch a tube. Luckily, Brian (on his first ROMEO ride today,) had a bottle of Slime in the saddlebag of his VTX. To our relief, and Keith's amazement, it worked. We followed him back as far as Augusta, and it was still holding air. I think I'll pick up a bottle of Slime for the KLR...
