Let's try a new one this week, Bert's Tavern in Yates Center, Ks @ 11:00. I was looking for new stops in new towns when I came across Bert's, so let's give them a visit. I have read some favorable reviews so let's go see for ourselves. Yates Center is starting to get out there far enough where maybe some of the South-Central Ks guys could ride over and meet up with us. Berts open at 11 for lunch so we will meet then.
I wish I could guarantee good weather for Friday but its looking like a wait and see. There definitely is going to be some scattered showers/t-storms this week but with luck, we might squeeze Friday in. We will know more in a few days.
I will see you all there @ 11 or a little before.

Re: Friday 6/6/25 11:00 AM Bert's Tavern, Yates Center, KS
Regardless of rain clouds scaring off a few Romeos, we still had 16 show-up at Bert's Tavern in Yates Center Friday morning. Early morning clouds/showers made it a questionable ride, but it ended up being ideal. I had just enough sprinkle marks on my windshield, to stop at Caseys in Yates Center and wipe them off, oh, Jackie also got a free Caseys appreciation donut for having their mobile app. Other than that, it was perfect riding.
While standing in the parking lot at the tavern, unfamiliar bikes started rolling in by numbers, but they ended up being a poker run group just stopping long enough for a quick drink then back on the road.
We were all delighted to have Junior, Jerry, and Larry from Oxford, (South Central Romeos) ride over and meet with us. It's always cool to meet and visit with other Romeos when possible.
From the outside, I was starting to question my decision for scheduling Bert's, but I will tell you, they serve some of the best burgers/sandwiches I have seen. Their service was extraordinary, and the food came out very quick. Just another example of a small-town establishment that may not look like much but are very good at what they do. These places are definitely Romeo Targets! (see front sign)
