Jeff Blevins

Post by swanee »

Many of us who've been in ROMEO for some years knew Jeff Blevins, a real friendly & interesting fellow who could chat over coffee about anything motorcycle or otherwise cuz he'd done most of it at one time or another. He survived door gunner on a Huey in Vietnam then went on to live a long life of 2-wheeled adventures on bicycles and motorcycles. That guardian angel he surely had called him home Monday at age 84. Obit in the Topeka Capital-Journal Thursday ed. Glad I got a chance to see him recently.

I remember Jeff--bought a bike from him that he brought to the to the "Falling Leaf Rally " in Potosi on a trailer as he was using a crutch at the time. Bike was a 1993 BMW K1100RS (red) and I test rode it at the rally, struck a deal (even called home for permission) and picked it up at his farm the next week. I added a 4 into one Staintune and it was my little hotrod for some time.
Jeff was a super mild mannered guy and we all will miss him.
