I think for everybody’s sake this next week we probably need to stick close to Lawrence, Ks . . . for obvious reasons. Let’s try this again and see if I can be a little closer to the mark weather wise this time.

As most of you know by now, I’m not a person to use four letter words unnecessarily. But there is time and place for everything, and this is one of them.

I’m pretty much opposed to using any kind of bad words, particularly in public, but sometimes there is no other way to describe it. You have my apologies for using any offensive words, so I’m asking you ahead of time to forgive me for the two nasty words I'm about to use.

Ok already, here it is! It looks like on our next ride, we will be faced with extreme “COLD & SNOW!” As of now, I’m just saying maybe, but I do hope my forecast for next week is wrong, as it was in my last week's forecast.

On that happy note, I leave you with this saying from an old Baptist Minister . . . “When we are in a crisis, offer a prayer to the Lord, give Him praise, and let Him lead the way!” Until then, I hope to see as many of you as can make it to our next round-up.

OH, I almost forgot: GO CHIEFS !!!

It was another typical February day, with temperatures in the low teens and 4" of fresh snow, a perfect day for a lunch gathering for a motorcycle group! And that's what 6 ROMEO's did this morning. We had 4 from Lawrence, one made the trek over from the KC area and one from Ozawkie. And we did it riding into the parking lot on 24 wheels! And it's probably a good thing we had only 6 because the restaurant had no clue we were coming so it worked out fine.

The food at El Potro is always good and the conversation was excellent and highly intellectual, the kind you expect from a gathering of this group. Many topics were covered including the near arrival of perfect motorcycle weather just around the corner, how to explain to your significant other that buying a new motorcycle would actually save you money in the long run, whether KU basketball will ever get their act together, and the prospect of exciting spring rides coming up.

Hopefully next week will bring a bit more suitable weather for our lunch gathering and we can get back to a more normal turnout. At any rate, it was a great day to be a ROMEO, no matter where you were! Hope to see you all soon! I'm sure Al will come up with another grand idea for a place to gather.
