The group had lunch at the Stearman Field Restaurant in Benton earlier this year; let’s try going back for some breakfast. If you haven’t been, it’s located just off the runway at the Benton airport. They have a lot of aviation memorabilia in the restaurant, and the food’s pretty good. I’m not sure if they’ll have much flying activity on a weekday morning, but you can see the runway out the front window of the restaurant. There are a lot of interesting aircraft (including several Stearman PT17s) based there.
The current forecast calls for dry weather, and it shouldn’t be too hot (by Kansas standards) at breakfast time. Looks like a good day for breakfast and a ride. Benton isn’t too far from Wichita, but I’m sure the Legendary Small Group can stretch it into an hour’s ride from Motorsports.
I don’t know how much local business they have on Wednesday mornings, but let’s keep the 9:30 AM meeting time. It seems to be working, and I’ll admit to needing my beauty sleep even if the rest of you don't …

Re: South Central ROMEO Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, July 21,
Okay Benton--Here We Come. The "Small Group" will leave MotorSports sometime around 8:35.....One route we are thinking of takes us on a scenic ride through S.E. Wichita to Andover RD. So if anyone has a small CC bike that they want to ride you will not run in to anything over posted 55mph areas.. If you do not like the S.E. Scenic ride there is alway Hwy #254....
Re: South Central ROMEO Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, July 21,
We had a good turnout (twenty-one, I believe,) and a good breakfast. Ron and Bob showed up on 200cc and 300cc Hondas, but we managed to keep up with them, anyway.
John is going to schedule the next three rides. If everything works out, I'm heading to Maine for a couple of weeks.
