Six Bears and a Goat !

Post by shoresr »

It was a good day for a ride and we made the most of it. Leeds Manor road is always a nice ride. Six Bears and a Goat Brewery was packed because of 30 young Marines from Quantico. So young and so much ahead of them. The energy and excitement was fantastic. After lunch we went to stop 12 on the Grand Tour of Virginia, which was at Mary Washington's Home in Fredericksburg. We had to find out what two museums were mentioned on the sign at the front door. Our nice ride home ended at the Apple House in Linden where they were giving out FREE ice cream. Warren thought he had died and gone to heaven. :D

Good Food, Good Ride and Good Friends. It was a good day to ride.

Objee the Bear
Objee the Bear Objee is the beloved Mascot of the Coast Guard Academy. In 1926 the Academy selected the Black Bear as its mascot, because the bear is bold and tenacious, attributes befitting the Coast Guard and its officers.

Bill the Goat is the mascot of the United States Naval Academy. The mascot is a live goat and is also represented by a costumed midshipman. There is also a bronze statue of the goat in the north end zone of Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.[1] This statue also plays a role in "Army Week" traditions.

The first Bill the Goat appeared in 1893. Currently, Bill XXXVI reigns as the 39th mascot and is the 36th goat to be named Bill. His backup is Bill XXXVII.
