Passing of a Romeo

Post by rcrgl1800 »

Received this from Mike H. Sunday. I just found out that one of our former Romeo riders passed away yesterday. He was William A. (Bill) Ferguson. Bill was one of the original Oatmeal Gang, known by quite a few of the Romeo's, esp. the "older" ones. He rode a couple of old BMW's--one had the exhaust pipes turned way up at the rear. He had been in a nursing home for the last couple of years and apparently contracted the COVID 19, a week or so ago. It didn't take long. Bill was 85 years old.

Internment is to be this Wednesday December 16 at 10:00 in Fort Leavenworth cemetery. Apparently no service, only possible observation from some distance, due to the virus.

Sorry I don’t really remember Bill. Does anyone have a picture?

I will add Bill to my riding angels. When I ride I go through a list of those who can not ride anymore that they are riding with me & protecting me from my & others stupidity. Know he is riding with my husband & others in heaven. Sympathy to you & your family!
