The Weather Channel says it's going to be pretty darned cold next Wednesday. We'll make this another ride or drive event, and keep it close to Wichita.
It's been about three months since we ate at the Tee Time Cafe, just north of Clearwater. The staff is friendly, and the Wednesday special is what may be the best meatloaf you've ever eaten. If you get there early, you can also order breakfast prior to 11:00. The homemade cinnamon rolls will go well with either.
The Tee Time Cafe is located north of town, in the Clearwater Golf Course clubhouse. It's on 95th South, just west of 135th West. There is a sign on 135th, but it's easier to remember to turn west at the day care center, just north of the grain bins on the east side of 135th.
NOTE: 135th Street is closed just south of K-42. If you're coming from the east, you can take Ridge Road south to 71st Street, and then go west to 135th. If you're coming from the west, you can take 71st directly off of K-42 and head east to 135th. If you're coming from the south, through Clearwater, there's no detour.
I've stopped hauling t-shirts to each ride, since they completely fill the saddlebags on my ST1300 (and there's no way to carry all of them on the KLR or XR1200.) Let me know if you need one, and I'll make sure that I bring what you want. I still have all sizes in short or long sleeves. You can e-mail me using the link in the upper right corner of this post, or just let me know at one of the rides.

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, February 5 - 11:00
Lunch today was just like at home, alone. I was told another ROMEO was there at 10:30, he wolfed down a pancake and left before I arrived so I don't know who it was. No special today, they did not expect enough to make the usual meatloaf dinner special. I had chicken strip dinner with salad and smashed potatoes, coffee and a piece of chocolate cream pie, total $15.38 plus $3 tip. Sorta pricey. I drove my Chevrolet Silverado 19.2 miles, 35 minutes on mostly ice covered road. Photo 1 is a self photo, but I missed my face. Tee Time Café owner took the second photo. See you all next week, Harley Charlie.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
If you don't take the time to do it right, you'll find the time to do it twice.

Good for you, Charlie. Maybe the rest of us can be out next week.

I was out on the Wichita streets a little after 6:00 AM this morning. As bad as they were, I figured that the rural roads would be next to impassable. I hate to miss a ride (or drive) but it seemed like the right thing to do. I'm glad that someone was there to feed Charlie, and that he made it back in one piece. I'll try to reschedule Clearwater in the next few weeks.
