South Texas ROMEO's have moved a little north for the summer

Post by Tumbleweed »

It has been quite a while since anyone has posted here so I thought I would do an update. Suzy and I have settled in Fredericksburg, Texas and I am finally breaking free of the moving status and into riding status again. I went out with a neighbor Walt Wark and aquaintance from here in Fredericksburg Stanley Klaerner this morning and met up with eight other riders from Kerrville. We did a great round-a-bout ride and ended up at Camp Verde. It is an old army fort where they raised camels for the army once apon a time long ago. The camp was established in 1857 and it is a great stopping place for a cold drink and some great food(no camels served). The prices are very reasonable and the BLT on a jalapeno cheese bun is worth stopping for alone. The others had geat meals also, and I understand the chicken and dumplings are terrific when they have them. We discussed the ROMEO's forming a chapter in the Hill Country. We may move that direction eventually however, in the mean time we will just post here on the South Texas site. Let me know if you plan to visit this area and we can enjoy riding the Hill Country of Texas together. Good riding and please send rain. - Tumbleweed
