The next Second Sunday daylong motorcycle tour of the Kansas Short Grass Motorcycle Club is scheduled for September 13, 2009. We cordially invite you to join our club as we make our way south on U.S. 59/169 from Lawrence to Chanute, Kansas to visit the world-famous Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum. This daylong tour will cover approximately 196 miles round trip and we have a few surprises in store for the club.

As always, our tours originate from the Checkers Foods parking lot located at 23rd and Louisiana Streets in Lawrence, Kansas. You can Google or Mapquest directions by searching on: 2301 Louisiana Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044. We meet at 9:00 a.m. for sign-in and the tour promptly leaves the parking lot at 10:00 a.m. You are encouraged to come early to meet the other riders and to get to know our club. Day rates for single tours are $20 and $25 respectively. If you decide to join our club the same day, your one-day tour fee will be applied towards your annual membership dues. Memberships expire at year's end.

Members of the Kansas Short Grass Motorcycle Club have never met a stranger...only friends we have yet to meet.
