Roger is still wandering around in New England and has asked that we take care of Tuesdays ride. The weather forecast is for 82 and sunny so lets go for a ride and maybe see some color even though it is a little early. Sisters and Friends in Hume will be out destination for breakfast of lunch. Remember this is where we eat in a grain bin that has been turned into a banquet room. Breakfast is served until 11:00 then lunch after 11:00. Enjoy the ride through the country, a good meal, lively conversation and your trip back home. There are several routes to take to and from Hume, enjoy a couple of them. 10:00 to 10:30 would be a good time.
See you Tuesday.

Just to let you know that your map quest map is not working. When you click the link, it takes you to the new map quest site and it is worth less. I type in my exact address and it tell me that they can't find my exact location. When I put in Sister and Friends address as given in goole as Hume St Hume Mo. 64752, it took me to some place in Texas. You may just want to find out what is going on with the new map quest site. I couldn't find any help at all. In my opion they have really messed up royally. All I wanted to find out was how far away it is. Michael Jobe

The "address" for today's ride does not come up on MapQuest which is why I had to use longitude and longitude for the exact location. Hume is a very small town thus the street addresses are rather unimportant anyway. Just use the link provided on the announcement http://mapq.st/1FGty7L and do not use the NEW version of MapQuest. You can always use Google for individual maps; however, Google does not allow us to create a group map with multiple locations. That's why we use MapQuest. Unfortunately the link will not work on the smart phone MapQuest app but they claim to be trying to eventually get it fixed. Who knows what that may happen.

For the 50 or so that made the trip we had a good time at Sisters and Friends. This is always a well attended ride and this was no different. There still wasn't much color other than green and brown. The fall color is still a couple of weeks off. It took me three hours to make the twenty mile trip home. Perfect day for a ride even if there was a little wind. Following are a few pictures I took today. Bob was also taking pictures that I hope he posts.

Hello ROMEOS,
Just wanted to say thank you from all of us. We always enjoy having your group. Missed seeing Roger. Hope he saw lots of great sites in New England. As always the beautiful machines on our square was the talk of the town for a couple of days. Love looking at the pictures. Saw map quest doesn't give good directions to get to us. Our official address is 12639 S.W. Hume St., Hume, Mo. You have 2 choices on Main St. (us & the liquor store) Once again, love having you. See you soon.
