Having Fun

Post by Klem »

Guys this looks like it is going to be a success. Jerry did a great job and is still working on it. I'm sure things will change a little as an on going thing.

I've sent the invitation out to a few more riders. Enjoy and play around with it. There is a lot of info on the FAQ, Think about Links you would like to add.

The separation between east and central doesn't restrict reading, posting or replying to either area. Just a way of sorting things a little.

Feel free to use this site to set up rides among yourselves, discuss any fitting topic.

Jerry and I share in taking care of the site. One of the things I need to figure out is "How long to leave stuff posted" It doesn't hurt to leave things on a long time, but will eventually fill the website so it can't be used. So things will be taken off, but I doubt that it will be still valid when I do remove it.

I think you can leave stuff on indefinitly? Maybe it depends on how much bandwidth you are alloted, or use? I don't know really. Perhaps there could be an archive section where stuff more than 2 or3 months old could go. On the AF-1 Racing forum that I participate in, I think you can find stuff that is several years old if you do a search.

I will monitor our usage and post the stats from our server once in a while. From my reading on other forum support boards and users there are some sites with thousands of users and hundreds of thousands of posts. I don't think it will be a problem for us for a while.
