Here is a google map that will show you where Old Cedar Inn is and can give you directions from your home and the time to get there http://tinyurl.com/Romeo-Rides-This-Week
Bob Beck picked Old Cedar for the Romeos 9/22/09 and it has remain one of our favorites ever since.
This Tuesday the lunch special is CATFISH fillets. They are cooked to order and they will be good. If you haven't eaten at Old Cedar you have missed a good one. Try to come.
Sunday, Melissa and I will be leaving for Greenville, SC for Wing Ding, a Gold Wing Rally. I think Randy is heading that way also. Gary and Mary will be here if they aren't busy making and shipping BIG EAR ear protection. Their business is really growing. (Yes Roger, we will be there. G & M - Still waiting on your Big Ear order?) So it would be nice if someone could back us up with some pictures and info. Wherever I am away I always check back to see how you are doing. I am pretty sure I will miss July 9 also.

Leland and Slina are on Day 6 of their Alaska Trip. Here is a map of where they have gone so far. Last night they were in Valemount, British Columbia. So far 2,395 miles!! http://tinyurl.com/lsqxadu
Hi, I'm Bob K from Claycomo, Mo, and I'll be your Romeo replacement photo guy. I'll include a photo from my recent trip to Tucumcari, NM so you know who I am. Roger, I have included a picture of Marilyn and George, cuz it makes you happy. Also Roger, Paul and LaVeda if you would like to fix her name on the Ruby's Landing ride. The food was really good, catfish for the special, and Lisa and Jill ran to keep up with all of us. Excellent service!
Now that you know what I look like, be sure and say hello!
We were about over run with campers and RV's.
Recruiting a new Romeo, yes she rides on grandpas trike.
The Camden Point ramp is closed, but Dennis still got out.
Big John has a great looking helmet.
Another great looking helmet. Semper Fi!
Gary, Rod and Al.
We spilled out of the back room into the front room.
Lisa was a doll.
The catfish looked good.
Mick, Gary and I met up at the Emporia picnic.
Randy said there were 49 bikes and at least 6 more came in after the Butler gang. Also, great to see Gary and Mary today.
Marilyn and George make Roger happy, after talking to them, me too!
Jill with some of the guys, we had the best in Jill and Lisa.
Chief Williams of the Lake Winnebago, Mo. police department came to visit a Romeo friend and have lunch.
I think Bob pretty much covered all the bases and he took some great pictures. Everyone enjoyed the good food and service provided by the Old Cedar Inn. As usual we had a large crowd plus it was an almost perfect day for riding before and after the meal. It was one of those Goldilocks days, not too cool, not too hot, gentle breezes. It doesn't get much better than today. Now if Bob can figure out where to go next week, I think he's got a new JOB.
Randy, since I can't come up with an appropriate catch phrase, you can take it from here. On a different topic, we all know the names of a few Romeo's we sit with and BS in the parking lot after the lunch, but trying to put names to pictures and riding groups can be hard, especially for us new members. We have members that come up with hats, shirts, stickers and patches, so how about name tags? We don't want our full names posted on the internet, but a full name and city would be helpful. Thoughts? Bob K. Claycomo
I would like to second this name tag idea!! After numerous surgeries where I was put under, I can't remember my own name let alone other folks... I know I talked to you, and given about a half hour to think about it I would get it right, but with a name tag and perhaps the town where you live it would sure help me keep folks straight.. Especially on these days where we have 60 or more riders... Rod
The hats that were being done at Topeka and still can be had the name on them. It is a little unfair to have Roger or whoever you are getting your stuff through to have it personalized. Having been the procurer for several years I know how often something is ordered and not picked up. The names would be a good idea, I suggest you find a local business that embroiders or engraves and have them made individually. A at pin or similar thing would not need the Romeo mark on it.
