Lunch Council Grove 5-16-12

Post by Klem »

Richard and I made two or three stabs at this to find a time we were both good for it. It has been some time since we have been to Council Grove. The food has always been a star here and the weather sometimes not so good. I think the attendance has varied from 4 to 97 with the weather calling the shots.

This week is looking perfect so this may very well be the largest gathering of Romeos to date. The Eastern Kansas group will be meeting with the North Central group and anyone else that might be wanting to join in. We know the food and company will be top notch and with roads like 177,K4, Old 10, K99 to choose from we will have the best riding in the area. So come one and all and we will meet, greet and eat

A few from Council Grove Today. I overheard someone say there were about 100 bikes.

I think several rode the Skyline-Mill Creek Scenic Drive today. Here are a few structures that were along the way. It's a really interesting road.

Thanks for the pics Paul. The closest count I heard was 100 motorcycles with a few in cars and some doubles. Always great getting to see people you haven't seen in ages.

The Skyline Drive/Mill Creek Road/Old 10, Between Alta Vista and Alma is one of my favourite roads. It is reported patrolled by the Sheriff regular. But for me there is no need to hurry. It is one of the best places to view the Flint Hills.

Thanks to all that attended, I am working on some things to change up our summer riding just a little. Let's have some fun.
