PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN MEETING TIME – 11:00 AM
It’s been almost a year since we’ve been to Roy’s BBQ in Hutchinson. This is a great barbeque place; the food is good, the people are nice, and they love to see motorcycles. I’ve set the meeting time for 11:00, when they open; the place gets busy around noon, and this will let us eat and probably be on our way out before the crowd hits. (A victory for all you early birds, although it means I’ll have to get up a bit earlier.) Just leave the most burnt sausage link for me…
The group may be a little smaller next week. Bob’s leading a group to St. Louis, and I may have jury duty (won’t know until Monday evening.) Still, those of us who can make the ride will enjoy some good food, and maybe we’ll pick up a few of the Hutchinson and northern area riders. If I can’t make it, I’ll try to get the sign-in book to someone who’s able to attend.

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, May 18, 11:00 AM
Well, they didn't need me for jury duty so I'll make it to Roy's tomorrow. It looks like I'm 0 for 2 in the weather department, though, as the Weather Channel is calling a 50% chance of rain at launch time. If it looks bad, I'm driving; if it looks good, I'll get the KLR out. (The ST1300 is awaiting new tires, after last week's trip to Utah finished off the current set.) The BBQ will be excellent, either way. Pie in Yoder is also a possibility...

Eight people this time (more than double last week's number) and most of them rode. Three bikes, three trikes, and one car. (Janan decided to come, so I had an excuse for not riding the KLR in the cold and possible rain...) We almost filled up the big round table in the front room. Nobody complained about the food (full mouths...) and I don't think anyone left hungry. Ann was glad to see us, as always, and it was nice to see some of the more northern members of the group again.
