Good choice, John. It sounds like it will be a good day for the Philadelphia Pepper Pot soup. Just don't eat it all before I get through the line...

It's been a dozen years or so since I've been there but I still remember the potato soup and bierock I had there.

Seven of us met at Motorsports. Four on bikes. We FROZE our way up to Newton while the smart ones drove in warmth and comfort.
We got there early and started down the chow line. For those who have not been to the Bread Basket in Newton, there must be 16 or more kinds of soup and all kinds of salad fixin's. Homemade bread in multiple varieties are available for you to cut off the end of numerous types of loaves, with a crock of REAL butter to add flavor. Also homemade Peach and Apricot jams. A showcase full of pies invites us to participate in there delights. EVERYTHING is home made. Mmmmm.
After sitting down, Rick L, Bob G, and Bob M arrived. Next came Jim W and Gene B. Soon thereafter, Gibbo and Steve arrived and also Avin and Jr. Who braved the cold a;; the way from Oxford.
I was Bob Lee's Birthday. We won't tell wich one. I asked the owner for a piece of pie and a candle. No candle but the pie must have been good 'cause it did'nt last long. I dont know how far anybody came but Bob Lee can say he came the furthest as it's his Birthday. Big Bad John
