Today was one of those perfect riding days. Maybe it was the sunny 70-degree weather, the cruise along Skyline Drive, the laughs at Cooter’s Place, or simply the good company—but whatever it was, it made for a truly great day.
We enjoyed a beautiful ride down Fort Valley Road to Cooter’s Place in Luray. The hamburgers were much better than I expected, and the Cooter’s Garage Band—playing free from 1 to 3 every Saturday—was an absolute hoot.
After soaking in the fun, we headed back toward Lake Frederick with a spectacular ride along Skyline Drive. All in all, it was a great day to be alive.
We were joined by two new riders today. However, as they did "wheelies" out of the parking lot, it was obvious we were too slow for them and we never saw them again.
Dave was enjoying one of his new acquisitions.
The music was truly from the Dukes of Hazard era and if you were old enough it was really good. Ralph was not old enough. Here is a sample of their music.
