UPDATE —> Calabamas is ready for us !! They have a team working on our welcome sign. Please feel free to join a few of us at the upscale Briar Cliff subdivision sign in Norfork at 10am on Tuesday morning. We’ll ride over to Calabamas together. It will be 59 degrees at 10am with winds about 10-12 mph. Be 63 for our ride home. Nice temps.
Our reservation is for 11:30. Let’s get there just a little early so we have a bit of time to brag about who’s the better rider, who has 6 Moto Guzzis .. soon to be 7 .. and for us to just catch-up and begin our great fellowship.
************ Original Calabama Post ***********
Hey everyone. How about we grab some breakfast/lunch at the popular Calabama Restaurant in Franklin, Ark on Tuesday Feb 17 at 11:30am. This way, we won’t
have the bright sun in our eyes as we ride east and also, the temps will be real nice towards the lunch hour.
I will get our favorite table reserved.
Look forward to a good time at Calabama’s.

Happy Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday everyone !! What a fun ride today over to the Calabama restaurant in Franklin Arkansas. We had 14 ROMEO riders. Nice turnout. Thank you for coming out everyone and thank you Leo for delivering our nice lunch prayer.
It was an overcast, slightly breezy and cooler ride. I did see 57 degrees on my instrument cluster. I logged 138 miles today and even drag raced Leo on our way home. Now that was really fun. We were neck and neck until I decided to just roll back off on my Guzzi 1100 throttle. I was waiting for Neil to catch up from behind, take the baton from me and just finish him off. Anyway, that Can Am of Leo’s is a real runner !!
And lastly, a few of us rode over to Cuznbob’s (Robert) Motorcycle shop in Oxford, Arkansas after leaving Calabama’s. Robert is a great mechanic from the Austin Texas area. He orders and installs tires for a few of our ROMEOS including myself. He’s a very seasoned and polished mechanic and does great work at a fair price. Leo, John, Mike R., Neil and I rode over and surprised Robert today. Took a little tour of his place. He sells nice leather bike jackets and gear, top grade oils and can also order just about anything you want for great prices including, tires, helmets, gear, etc. Thank you John Hamilton for introducing me to Cuznbob’s. The way I see it .. If Neil can’t fix it .. I’m calling Cuznbob’s !!
Thank you Calabams’s for a great time, great food and for our beautiful blue custom Welcome ROMEO sign. Jennifer did great too. Great service.
Looking forward to our next ride gang. Talk to you soon.
