October 15, 11:00 Lunch, The Elevator, Valley Falls, KS

We haven't been here since July, 2024 and everyone seemed to enjoy it last time so let's give it another go.They don't open until 11:00 and I told them we'd be there then, pushing our noses up against the door waiting for them to open. I'm hoping for another perfect weather day like we had for our last ride. So that's about it. Hope to see you on Wednesday for lunch at:

Scheduling a ride to Valley Falls wouldn't seem to be that much of a challenge, but road and railroad construction in the area posed some interesting challenges in making the trek up Highway 4. Actually, the trek up 4 wasn't a challenge, it was just getting to Highway 4 that seemed to be problematic. But it didn't seem to be much of a problem in the end because we had 42 ROMEOS show up for a little chow at the Elevator.

I was impressed with how quickly they got us all fed even if they did have to seat the later arrivals of our group outside on the patio because our group filled every seat inside. Food was excellent, service was great and the company was fantastic. Made for a great day to be a ROMEO!

And another great piece of news-Al has his underwear drawer all sorted out and he's ready to take over finding a lunch spot for us next week! Great to have Al back in the saddle!!!
