Sept. 17, 11:00 AM Lunch, Finer than a Frog Hair Bar & Grill, Denison, KS

It's that time of year for better riding weather and a chance to try some new places and here's one that ROMEO's have never visited. This local joint is located in the fine city of Denison and I'm sure there will be plenty of free parking within walking distance of the front door. They were excited to hear that we were coming and didn't blink when I told them we could be anywhere from 15 to 30 or more depending on weather, old age, various aches, pain, and ailments and just-don't-feel-like-doing-anything-today-itis. So if none of those things affect you why don't you saddle up and join us for lunch at:

Finer than a Frog Hair Bar & Grill
113 Central Avenue
Denison, KS 66419

Re: Sept. 17, RIDE REPORT, Finer than a Frog Hair Bar & Grill, Denison, KS

Well it seemed to be a finer day for a ride to the Finer than a Frog Hair B & G yesterday. According to Sam, the owner of the Frog Hair, they served 27 ROMEOS some lunch. And from the looks of the number of motorcycles lining Main Street, actually Central Avenue, we got most of the prime parking. Although they did have a pretty sizable lunch crowd in addition to us, they managed to serve us pretty well. (Except maybe for Don, whose order they forgot.) I guess on the bright side he did get a free hamburger in exchange for having to wait for his lunch!

There are some pretty nice roads to ride on the way to Denison. Ferguson Road is always a good one and Highway 16 has some nice curves and scenery as well. I also saw the first combine of corn harvest season yesterday so that's a sign we'll probably be in the middle of it for the next month or so.

The weather treated us pretty well yesterday as some overcast skies and lower temps made riding a bit more pleasant. Although a few riding in from the southwest got into a little rain for their ride in. Overall, it was a pretty darn good day to be a Romeo!!

I did manage to take some pictures to commemorate the occasion so hope I didn't miss anyone. Thanks to everyone who showed up today and condolences to those of you who didn't get to ride 8-)!
