It has been a little over a year since we have been to Baxter Springs. So, lets meet at Weston's Cafe Friday the 12th @ 11:00 AM. The forecast, if you can believe it this far out, is said to be clear and 90 degrees. If so, this will make for a very good ride.
I will see you all there @ 11:00 or a little before.

Weston's Route 66 Cafe in Baxter Springs, Ks was the meeting place for sixteen Romeo's Friday for lunch. The final count of bikes in the parking lot was thirteen. Friday was a return to summer with the temps reaching the low 90's. I know I had a little sweat working by the time we made it home, but I'll take it, better than riding in the rain.

Baxter Springs is within spitting distance of Oklahoma, so I don't know what the collective riding distance was for the entire group, but it was a bunch. I have flirted with doing what the Central Ks group does, having a sign-in sheet with miles traveled. I have always thought that was pretty cool.

Weston's was a very good lunch stop. They had a couple daily specials that was poplar, and the price was very reasonable. The service was superb, and our food came out quickly. Just another great small-town eatery on my Romeo spreadsheet.
