It has been a minute since we have visited Girard Eastside Cafe, so let's meet there Fri. the 22nd @ 10:00. They are always a very good stop and of course, home of the huge homemade cinnamon roll.
The forecast looks dry with seasonable temps. (90*,91*). That should make for a very enjoyable August morning ride.
Remember, Hwy 7/39 from both Fort Scott, and from the west is now CLOSED.
I will see you all there at 10 or a little before.

Boy, if you didn't get out and ride today, you missed out on a great opportunity. Who would ever guess it would be this nice the week before Labor Day.
Twelve Romeos and two visitors arrived this morning for a superb breakfast at Girard's Eastside Cafe. Twelve of the fourteen traveled with the wind in their hair. The two visitors were Jim & Lori, friends of Gary and Butch, in their Polaris Slingshot. The food and service this morning were exceptional as usual, and the cinnamon rolls were as sweet as usual. I think I rode home on a sugar high.
