Let's try a new one this week, the Short Street Tavern in Montrose, MO. I talked to some northern Romeo's at Amsterdam this week who have been there, but I'm not sure SEK ever have been. A buddy at work says they serve really good food, and it should make for a very good ride, so let's try them out. We will meet for lunch @ 11:00 since that is when they open up. I'm expecting another great riding day, so it should be a fun trip.
I will see you all there @ 11:00 or a little before.

Although it was windy as you know what, nineteen Romeos arrived in Montrose at Short Street Tavern for a very good lunch. Seventeen rolled in either as pilot or co-pilot of a bike. I don't believe, it was quite as windy on the way home. Other than that, the weather was perfect for a Friday ride.

Short Street was a very worthy trip. For a town of 300 and some change, the Short Street Tavern is a very impressive establishment. I'm betting, they draw customers from quite a radius in the area. They served some of the largest sandwiches I have ever seen. I don't know how many cooks they had working, but one waitress took all our orders, and I kid you not, food started arriving amazingly fast. They also had a salad bar second to none. Short Street Tavern will definitely be added to our Romeo spreadsheet.
