Ok, here is the story on Lane, Ks. I couldn’t find much with my usual research when posting our rides, but here is what I know.
It’s just a little town between Greeley and Osawatomie. Almost what some might say, “a spot in the road.” It’s one of those small towns about which you’ve heard said, “you wouldn’t want to blink while passing through.” Some of our Romeos rode through Lane last week heading for Greeley and mentioned that it looked like the Bar & Grill was closed. So, while heading home last week I stopped by, found it was open for business, and was informed they normally open at noon but would be more than happy to open just for the Romeos at 11am.
So, there you have it! “Happy Trails” to everyone and hope to see you there!

Well, I think spring has sprung! No doubt about it after witnessing yesterday’s ride. Everybody came out of the “woodwork.” What an unbelievable turnout there was for this little sleepy town of Lane, Ks. The last count turned in was over 30 bikes and 43 riders. What a grand day!
And then, adding to all this, is how in the world that three magnificent and talented people of the cafe were able to handle our massive bunch. I was amazed watching all three of them (from the owner, cook, and waitress) serve our large, unexpected group. What could have been a real fiasco they made to look so easy as they pulled it off without a hitch. The cook in the kitchen did a fabulous job, the food was every bid delicious!
I think maybe we’ve found another keeper to add to our long list of cafes. Ok, enough already! Now, for the historical evidence . . . PHOTO TIME! ENJOY!!
