We will meet at Benders Kitchen in Parsons next Friday the 14th @ 10:00. I realize this stretches the travel distance for our more northern Romeos, but I have been promising Tad for a good while that we would make it down there. Plus, I hear they serve really good food, and I understand there is some really interesting history about this joint. Ask Tad, he can fill you in. I did ask, they will serve the entire menu all day.
The weather is looking interesting for next week, but I think Friday should be clear to travel.
See you all there @ 10 or a little before.

Eight Romeo's had breakfast together Friday morning at Benders Kitchen in Parsons, Ks. Stupid me, failed to check if Hwy 59 was back open from bridge construction over the Neosho River. Well, it isn't! After talking to a local in Erie, we took an alternative route on back roads and came out just west of St. Paul. It wasn't too bad, just took about 20 extra minutes to get there. We arrived to find everyone else already there and they thought my travel incompetence was pretty funny.
We all enjoyed a very good breakfast on a snow-covered morning. Even though there was still about 3" on the ground, all the highways were totally cleared off. What else is there better to do than take a road trip and meet friends for breakfast at an unfamiliar cafe. Benders Kitchen will definitely stay on our list.
