South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, June 9, 11:00 AM

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN MEETING TIME – 11:00 AM

We’ve been south and east recently, so let’s head northwest this week. This is my favorite barbeque place; I’ll put it up against anything Kansas City has to offer. The food is great, the people are nice, and they love to see a bunch of motorcycles parked out front. If you’re watching your cholesterol or waistline, the smoked turkey breast is delicious and guilt-free. (Me, I’m having sausage and brisket…) I’ve set the meeting time for 11:00; the place gets busy around noon, and Ann wanted all of us to be able to get seats together before the crowd hits. There’s no pie at Roy’s, but the Carriage Crossing in Yoder is on the way home if anyone has room for dessert.

We had eleven ROMEOs sign in, which was a pretty good group considering the weather. I hit rain west of Wichita on the way out, and I think that Bob and Phil ran into it even before they got out of town. The ride back was partly cloudy and dry. We had several of the Hutchinson crew join us; I'm not sure if Hutch is North Central or South Central, but we'll claim them anytime they show up. Lunch was great, as was the conversation.
