SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN, WEST VIRGINIA

Tom and Kathy planned a ride to the ski resort on SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN in West Virginia. An area of Virginia/West Virginia where it is beautiful and the riding spectacular. I am attaching an article in "Road Runner" Magazine where Snowshoe Mountain is the home base of their Shamrock Ride. Although we could have asked for better weather, we had a wonderful time and we laughed till our sides hurt.

Although we were expecting rain on the way to Snowshoe we barely got wet, but we didn't take off our rain gear, just in case The ride to Snowshoe as well as everywhere around the mountain is beautiful. On the way down we stopped to take a look at Seneca Rocks. However, we didn't see anyone climbing.

On the way home we stopped at a neat like town for breakfast and shopping that offered scenic train rides. They also host the state championship trout fishing contest.

Melissa was having a bad day. She had spent all day trying to find a PAYDAY candy bar, Betsy saved the day.

The ride home was a little damp, but spirits remained high. Tom has become an ice cream lover like Warren, so we had ice cream every day.

While intently wrestling with his heavy BMW in a gravel parking lot, Tom was so happy to be on solid ground again that he almost forgot Kathy. So Warren made him a note, so he wouldn't forget her next time.

Possibly, due to the weather this might not have been the way Tom saw it, but we had a fun group that had a really great time. Thanks, Tom and Kathy for being the perfect leaders.
