It's been quite a while since we've officially been here for lunch so it looks like a good day to have lunch at the:
Hilltop Market
21315 Easton Rd.
Easton, KS 66020
913.773.5710
They are open for breakfast so if you want to come a little early they have a good one.
The lunch special next Wednesday will be salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and ice tea. But they also have great hamburgers and about anything on the menu is excellent.
We have had some changes in the map program that has been included on posts to help you pick a route to lunch. Zee maps started charging for the service and it was pretty expensive for our use. So Gary D., our map genie, spent a lot of time researching our options and I think he came up with a great one. In fact, in some ways it works even more efficiently than the one we were using. So thanks to Gary for his hard work in providing us with a good map option. Thank him next time you see him. So now:

Here are a couple of photos from our last ride to Hilltop Market. Hope to see you on Wednesday. Looks like we'll have decent spring weather for a change!!

Re: LUNCH 11 AM APRIL 11, HILLTOP MARKET, EASTON, KS
Wow! Word must have gotten out that it might finally be spring and that there was a ROMEO ride today! When I got out to the parking lot Hoser was there like a broken robot, rebooting over and over and saying "recalculating". When I tried to get the official Hoser count he just said, "in the 60's!" The owner of Hilltop Market might have been pretty happy, but I'm not sure the cooks were pleased with me. When I set the ride up last Friday they asked me how many and I told them probably 30, if it's nice, maybe up to 40! I guess I need to switch over to spring mode now but I've been used to telling places "maybe 20" for the last few months and it's hard to convince myself that we might really be into riding season again.
Nevertheless, it was nice to see everyone out today, some coming out from hibernation after a long winter and others getting back to town, along with the winter regulars. It was also nice to see Harry back with us after recovering from his sideways Arkansas bike ride a few weeks ago. Looked like his V-Strom was all put back together thanks to Tim!
We had bikes parked all over today, basically on all 4 sides of the Hilltop Market. It also appears that along with spring dandelions showing up, a bunch of new or new to the owner bikes were in the parking lot today! I got pictures of a few of them, but I'm sure I missed some as well. Following are a bunch of pics, in no particular order since I can't figure out how to organize the order of the pics anymore since we revamped the software that supports the website. At any rate, enjoy the pics, and if I missed you in the pictures today, it's because everyone kept moving around and it was like trying to take picture of cats!
Thanks again to everyone who came out today. It sure was a great day to be a ROMEO!
