Larry from the capital city, Topeka

Post by lleeth »

Hello, I'm Larry L from Topeka.I semi-retired in July of this year.I worked 30 years foe Butter Krust bakery and I've been with Gardners flooring America for the last 20 years.

I started riding motorcycles in the early 60's, mostly on Yamaha's. As most of you who know me,I've got an old 72/5 Bmw I bought new and still enjoy riding 36 years later. I've also got a 95 goldwing thats been great for taking trips with my wife. The wing has almost 107,00 miles and still runs as new. On Dec 5th I bought a 650 Burgman, which I really think i'm going to enjoy. Some days its getting a little harder getting the old leg up and on the regular bikes, but hopefully the Burgman will still let me keep up with most of you guys.

I want to highly commend Jerry for sitting this web site up, he's did a great job. And Don as we all know does a great job sitting up our rides, an keeping everything going smooth on this end of the state.I really hope everyone jumps in and supports our Romeo site, it should be a great tool for us all.

Larry L

Thanks for the kind words Larry. Jerry has done a fine job with the Romeo site and it is surely going to soak up some of the winter blues.

I will say if the tendency for our riders to keep getting scooters we will have to change the Name to Retired Old Scooter Guys or something.

Larry,
It looks like a great machine! I thought you said it probably wouldn't come in for a few months so I am surprised to see it. Too bad you got it after the weather got bad and we stopped riding. You look like a proud daddy in the picture! Must be killing you to have all this cold and snow!
