I am doing the Ghost towns and dirt roads ride again. We will meet in front of the Catholic church in Westphalia Ks. at 9;30 AM on Nov. 20. The weather looks like it is going to be nearly 60 degrees and nice that day. There is plenty of room to park if you want to haul your bike.

Here is the ride description again:

I have put together a backroads/dual sport ride route in western Anderson county. It is 100 miles long. The route takes in no less than 11 miles of dirt roads/paths ,a couple easy “off road” paths, high pasture country , creek bottoms with a few water crossings and 4 small (ghost) rural America towns. All in all a senic ride with views of up to 20 miles at times.

The ride begins in Westphalia and wanders east through Mount Ida and then for a lunch south to colony to a small town café for lunch. After lunch, north east towards Garnett, going north just to the west of Garnett through the Pottawattamie and Cedar creek bottoms then turning west. After riding west we go south through Harris and south west back to Westphalia again.

. Leaving Westphalia at 9:30 AM should put us in Colony for lunch around 11:30, an hour for lunch, an estimated 3 more hours to finish the ride will bring us back to Westphalia by 3:30 PM.
There are credit card gas pumps in Westphalia, Colony, Garnett and Harris. Approx. every 30 miles.

If you can come along please let me know
Larry
