Option A this week is a two-stop lunch ride to Appleton City, Mo. Lunch will be 11:00 at the Rustic Duck, a restaurant, art gallery, and country getaway. The restaurant is normally closed on Tuesday, but Jamie will open just for us. She said the doors will be open earlier than 11:00 so we can enjoy the atmosphere of this unique place. The restaurant is on a gravel road about a mile off the highway. Don’t worry about the gravel—we’ve got a plan if you don’t like gravel!
Before lunch we will visit Zink Motors in Appleton City and they will provide shuttle service to and from the restaurant for anyone uncomfortable on gravel roads. Jeff Cross, one of our ROMEOs and the proprietor of Zink Motors, suggests we gather at the dealership starting at 9 and take a tour of the dealership. The tour takes about 30 minutes and highlights the history of the 108-year-old ford dealership and the community. They take people in groups of around 10 at a time. The dealership experience is on a historic level and not sales oriented. Jeff and his son serve as the tour guides and do this several times a year on special occasions. Here is a newspaper article from last year about the history of Zink Motors.
I will be at Zink Motors at 9am. I hope you can join me for what promises to be an enjoyable experience.

Option B this week will be Chops BBQ in Smithville, MO, it's been a while since we've been there, so I think it's time for BBQ. Doors open at 11:00, they always take good care of us. The weather looks like a typical Missouri day, so 2, 3 or 4 wheels, hope to see you there.
