Three showed up for the Club ride on Wednesday and it was a gorgeous day and a beautiful ride. Dave and Greg took me on some of their favorite roads.
Our destination was Timberville, VA. Dave took us over to "Back Road" and then on Highway 42 into Timberville. Timberville is about 20 miles north of Harrisonburg. Highway 42 is a very scenic road by beautiful farms with mountains on both sides. After lunch we headed back up Highway 42 to Fort Valley Road. Most of Fort Valley Road has been resurfaced and it is like riding on a cloud.
As I said, Dave and Greg did a great job of leading the ride. The only turn-around gravel we had was when I tried to help
It was my first time to be on a ride led by Greg and Dave and they took me on some new roads that I really enjoyed. As Jim has said we do tend to get in a "rut" riding the same roads and it was definitely refreshing to have some new ideas. Thanks guys.Note: everyone is on 2 wheels
