Today being Friday the 13th started out on the down stroke. Last night, after enjoying the Cornish game hen that spent the day relaxing in my crock spa, I took the bones and let them spend the night in their own little hot tub with a little seasoning and in the morning I was met with a nice pot of chicken broth. I removed the bones and respectfully interred them in the proper plastic lined receptacle. Next task was to strain the broth into a sufficiently warmed jar. Well, I managed to get the major portion into the jar, sacrificing the appropriate amount to the paper towel gods. The rest of the morning was spent randomly opening doors and cupboards at a total loss as to what I was looking for. With the major portion of the morning gone I made the call to set up our Christmas gathering. We have been here before and they seemed anxious to have us back.
