Let's head EAST this week for a change. Roger's on a ride so he asked if Mary & I would pick a place. It's new for us and maybe some of you. It's call the Generation's Cafe for a good reason. Brandy told us her grandmother started the cafe many years ago, and Brandy and her mother have continued operating it in her memory. Everything is home made and really fresh. They start breakfast at 6 A.M. for you early birds  but cut off sharply at 11 for lunch. We would suggest if you're coming for lunch, arrive before 11 as the locals will start filling in around 11:30. It's small but very comfortable. If we have a large turn out, please be patient like you always are. :)

Breakfast before or lunch at 11:00.

An interesting site just north of town is the Confederate Memorial State Historic Site http://tinyurl.com/qdn6c8h
which is right next to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery

Hope to see you there.

Great day for a ride! Generations cafe was a good pick, early group had great service and food, hopefully later Romeos did also. Some of us went to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and the Confederate Memorial Historic Site. Both sites were within a couple of miles of each other and well worth the visit. It was awesome to see Laveda there today!

I'll add little to what Bob has already posted. Hope all enjoyed the Generations Cafe. Brandy and her mother did a great job keeping everyone fed. Mary and I hope you enjoyed the place. The experience was rewarding and we were also happy to see Bob and others enjoy the two memorial cemetaries. My pictures are not as good as Bob's, so consider the source. :? We appreciated seeing some new faces as well as those who got out and enjoyed this morning's cool weather. Tomorrow looks to be another perfect day, so if you want to get in another riding day, please plan to attend the Eastern Kansas or one of the other Kansas group events. Thanks for making it another proud Romeo day!

Kim & I couldn't make the ride to Higginsville on Tuesday so we rode there today, Thursday. Brandy said she thought about 45 or so made it Tuesday and she really enjoyed the Romeos :-). We had a great breakfast ourselves and give Generations Cafe a thumbs up too. We will go back there again!
