3 of us are meeting in Louisburg, KS,(weather permitting) Friday, July 17 at 1030 am at McDonalds. From there, we intend to ride to Ft Scott for lunch.
All are invited. Nothing formal, as usual. We are going to go to a Mexican Restaurant in Ft Scott that Danny raves about. We can blame him if the food stinks! Comments? Post them here and I will try to reply.

Romeos Unite!
We will be meeting at McDonalds near Hwy 68 and Hwy 69 in Louisburg that Friday July 17th at 10:30AM as Bob stated.
From Lawrence to Ft. Scott is 100 miles and from Louisburg to Ft. Scott is 67 miles according to Google. Is there ever a good reason not to ride? Of course some of you may be tired after returning from Michael Jackson's Memorial service in LA. Sorry I couldn't make it, but I had to wash my hair.

Today’s mini ROMEO ride was fantastic to Ft Scott. The good Lord picked a wonderful day to ride. Manfred and I left Belton, MO at 915 am, made an obligatory stop in Cleveland, MO for cigars, and rode on to Louisburg. We met up with Roger Lemmons and Danny Drungilas from Lawrence at the McDonalds. To our delight, another Roger ( Smith) from Wichita met us at the McDonalds. From there, the 5 of us rode on to Ft Scott for a great meal at a locally-owned Mexican restaurant. The food was great!
Downtown Ft Scott is very quaint, and it even has brick streets. The architecture was wonderful, too.
We all rode back together for a while, at which time the 3 from Oz headed north and west, and we from the Show-Me state headed east, back to the enchanted land of Truman.
Manfred and I rode about 200 miles, round trip. We are planning another Friday mini-ROMEO ride in a few weeks to Weston, MO. If anyone knows of a good restaurant there, let us know. For the benefit of those from Oz, we may just meet at the McDonalds in west Lenexa (87th and I 435) around 10 am on the appointed day. That gives those from Oz no excuse for an excessively long ride! We can ride up I 435 briefly and get off on K 5 to Leavenworth. That is a gorgeous ride for those of you who have never had the pleasure! From Leavenworth, we can cross the bridge into Missouri and then on to Weston.

It was good to meet and ride with all of you. Dan took us on the scenic route back, and I managed to wander through Ottawa and Lawrence before heading back to Wichita. Somehow, "lunch" turned into 557 miles. (I did make it home in time for dinner...)

Hello!
This Danny from the wandering ROMEO's, meaning we got lost ROMEO's. We turned on Hwy 152 thinking it might go where Hwy 52 goes, Well, it doesn't. We wandered a little but not too bad. Total of 234 miles instead of 200. Great day for riding and good people were in tow.
Weston may be our next ROMEO Friday lunch. Here is a hint. DON'T follow me or we are all in trouble.

I know what that is like Danny. Kind of like the old saying. I know that you believe that you understand what you think I'm saying, but what you may not realize is what you are hearing may not actually be what I met to say.
Think about what it is like to follow me.

Lost is a predicament; wandering is a diversion. With two maps, one GPS, and three full tanks of gas, I feel our detour was mostly recreational. There is some pretty country that people on course miss seeing.
