Request for Assistance

RGV Riders,
There is a guy traveling down from Canada to Costa Rica with his 15 year old daughter who would like some assistance in crossing the border this weekend. He is doing a charity ride for the Children's Miracle Network with a lot of support and sponsorship along the way. He is in good shape for the trip and has lots of support from BMW Motorrad of Mexico (see https://www.facebook.com/groups/2468715 ... 393761177/) but he would like some current information about the best way or place to cross the border. He will be arriving in McAllen on Saturday (Nov 16) and plans to cross on Sunday as recommended by some people he knows).
Here is a web site about his travels: http://www.johnsonjourneys.com/
and also his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bruce.johnson1
The BMW Club of Houston is helping him with an oil change and some fresh tires. He will also attend our monthly club meeting and give a presentation about his ride.
If anyone could possibly meet him for breakfast or lunch somewhere in McAllen for a discussion that would be great. I can provide details as we get closer.
