Roger is still out wandering around in a hail storm or lounging somewhere in Vail Colorado. Rough job but someone has to do all the traveling. I am posting this a little earlier than usual because Carol and I are leaving early Thursday to go to the Missouri GWRRA Rally in Branson this weekend. We will be going to El Guapo's Mexican Restaurant in Holt, MO this week. We were there in the winter in the cold but the weather should be much better this time, temps in the lower 80's and only a 10% change of rain. That means there is a 90% chance it is not going to be raining. Should have a good crowd. They open at 11:00 and do not serve breakfast. I visited with them a few minutes ago and they are excited to have us back. See you there.

Last Friday 5/24/13 Melissa and I were visiting the Capulin Volcano preparing to make the 26 mile ride to Raton, New Mexico for the night, when we saw a terrible storm cloud between us and Raton. We checked the weather radar and saw a tremendous "red blob" between us and our destination, so we decided to take cover in the visitor's center. Three hours later the "red blob" had gone over us and we started out for Raton. The picture above is of a SNOW PLOW plowing 6 inches of HAIL that had fallen during the storm (A Gold Wing can cross 12 inches of water!! You know you have seen those signs that say, "roads can become impassible during high water" and some times you don't have a choice!!) We had a good and safe trip...here is all my pictures http://tinyurl.com/q2qtm7g Nice to be home...see you Tuesday

And this wasn't the special for today. No wonder you turn out on a rainy day to go to El Gaupo! and John ate the WHOLE THING
It was TACO Tuesday, plus this great buffet.
It was this "happy couple's" first ROMEO Lunch!! You can bet they will be smiling next time Welcome Ginger and Allen, glad you came and we hope you DO come again!! (Look at Junior in the background, I always embarrass him
This was "ladies day" and I loved seeing all the pretty ladies. I didn't get a picture of Glenda. Dan made her ride WITHOUT the sheep skin Now that is roughing it.
I caught Ginger and Randy visiting. Junior was off talking to someone else. I want to thank Randy for doing such a great job while Melissa and I traveled a little. I am sure everyone enjoyed a change. I missed you guys
It was a nice day and we had a good turnout. Rained a little while we were eating, but no one seemed to mine. Tom Fee rode up from Gravois Mills over 140 miles!! The food and service was better than we deserve. Make sure if you're up HOLT way you stop in and try EL Gaupo you won't be disappointed.

We go to Fubbler's on Friday, because they aren't open on Tuesday and believe it or not the best thing to eat is Fried Walleye It is the best Walleye you have ever eat outside of Minnesota. The forecast is good so if you haven't gotten out this week or you just want to get out again, put Fubbler's in Orrick on your calender for this Friday 6/7. They now open at 6 so I guess they serve breakfast. We use to sit outside and wait for them to open. Anyway, forget the breakfast and enjoy the WALLEYE!!
