A place to list other riding events. Anyone is welcome to announce any kind of group ride - whether it is for just a handful of riders or for a major event.
We are again planning the ROMEOS "Fools in April" Campout at the "Outlet Park" group camping area at Pomme de Terre Lake, Hermitage Mo. This year the dates are April 19th & 20th. Rally fee to cover the reservation ( already made for the group) is $7.00 for one or two nights. There are several motels close by for non-campers. Cheap: Shire Inn, New: Clearlight Inn, and also Sunflower Inn.
Terry will be preparing a chili pot for Fri. night, so bring flatware, cup and anything you may want to add to the chili pot or to go with it. Plenty of stores, delis and restaurants close by. Hey everyone, if you haven't been to this ride you should consider it. We have a good time, Bucky has more lies than a human being can imagine, and the rest of us tell nothing but the truth. There is a shelter with johns nearby, a shower and other Johns not too far away, a nice fire pit, and decent camping sites. Most of us camp except Walt, who has chickened out to a nearby motel, which actually is pretty nice. There is a grocery store not too far away and a convenience store just across the dam that has most of what anyone could need. We usually cook on Friday nite, sometimes steaks or whatever you want to bring, and we have even prepared a big pot of whatever you bring all duped into one. It's a nice time for early in the Spring. It can be cold, it can rain, it can be just right for camping. But whatever the weather, it is always a good time. Come join us!
