A number of us will be in Marble Falls, Arkansas, for the ROMEOs Fall Rendezvous on September 19. For those who have obligations that will keep them nearer to home, we'll have a luncheon gathering in Walton, at the Whistle Stop Cafe. It's a short trip up (or down, for the Moundridge crew) I-135 and east on US50.

I hope to be riding with the crew in Arkansas next Wednesday, so Cary has volunteered to take the sign-in book to Walton. I'll see everyone the following week.

TIME:

I just thought I'd bump this thread up to the top. It looks like good riding weather for next Wednesday. I saw a couple of our ROMEOs at the Winfield bluegrass festival: MajorJim and Big (not so) Bad John. Brian and I rode down on Saturday, and I rode back on Sunday. They have good, close-in, reserved parking for motorcycles right by the front gate. I knew Jim was there even before I saw him; not too many black Ridleys in these parts.

We had 34 sign the book today. The weather was great for a ride, but a strong wind from the south for some of us on the way back home.

All reports that I heard were positive on the food and the service. A good place for a meal, plenty of space to park, and good folks with whom to visit.

Cary

P.S. Roger will set up the meeting place for next week. Watch this space.

Great day, good turnout of riders. Here's a few photos of the 30+ bikes. I did not get inside for 'see me as I eat' photos (sorry).
