Lisa invited us with confidence. When I said there might be 40, she said "we can seat 140!" Now she didn't anything about service or food  Just kidding, she sounded very confident and this is a place we can all be seated at the same time and not have to rush through our meal so someone else can sit down.

I found this place because Melissa wanted to buy me a new pair of riding boots for my birthday. She took me to Kleinschmidts, you can see it from I-70 at the Higginsville exit. http://kleinboot.com/ ..They have a good selection of motorcycle boots, work boots and of course Cowboy boots!! Harley Davidson has cut them off and they are closing out HD boots. Melissa bought me a pair marked $160 for $60!! I was lucky they still had my size. They have several other lines of motorcycle boots at reasonable prices. He you ever seen 19,000 pairs of boots in one place! Whether you need boots or not, it is quite a store.

Not far from Higginsville is a Confederate Cemetery which is certainly worth visiting. http://www.civilwaralbum.com/misc4/higginsville1.htm

I know you think of Higginsville being on I-70 but if you get your map out you can find a lot of good ways to get to Higginsville without heading down the interstate. Do plan to at least ride by the Confederate Cemetery.

See you Tuesday---RIDE SAFE

Thanks for coming to Higginsville guys ! We hope you enjoyed your lunch and the ride here. As a biker, business owner, and past Chamber of Commerce president, I know how important it is to welcome small groups to our small community. Come back again anytime.

Thank you for the welcome Mr Hawkins. We like to think we are helping small businesses even if it is in a very small way. It is nice to be appreciated and we WILL return. I never heard a complaint only compliments. This young lady did an excellent job. We have to be a difficult group to keep track of. We are always moving around, coming and going, some for breakfast and some for lunch. This was handled as "business as usual" by the crew at Hot Pots :!: Thank YOU very much.I know of at least one group that rode up to the Confederate Cemetery, but I was disappointed that the flags were not on each headstone as pictured above. The last time I was there every headstone had a small confederate flag on it. It was an awesome site. Maybe my visit was around Memorial Day.

A whole lot of the guys visited Kleinschmidts. It is a very impressive place and I saw quite a few bags leaving the the store ;) It was a perfect ride to Higginsville, but if you messed around too much before heading home it really got HOT. It was great seeing everyone. Thanks for coming. I hope you had a good time.

Paul Hamm is doing as well as can be expected. He has a good attitude. We all signed a card to be delivered this afternoon. He is now getting to the point he can enjoy visitors. Paul loves riding motorcycles and talks of his riding buddies and getting back in the "saddle" again. Let's give him all the help we can.
