Half-A-Million

About this time of year in 2008 I was trying to figure out how to get a web site up and running for the Romeo group. I had decided on having one of the outfits that do that sort of thing just do it. I was talking with Jerry at a lunch ride and he said something like "You Know I think I could do that.'" and he did.
In a few days we will hit a milestone of 500,000 hits on our site. I know not a big deal compared to many websites. For us it has been right handy. We have been able to share information a half-million times with our finger tips. This has allowed us to keep growing and enjoying our sport as we see it.
This has not been a once and done project. From day one there has been constant changes and improvements to the site. My role as the "TEST DUMMY" for the site shares many hours with Jerry working on projects. My computer skills being just better than non existent means that if I can do it anyone can. In fact there is a biggie in the works that is waiting on the DUMMY to get the time to do his part. This like most the changes will be subtle to the user, and represents hours of computer programing for Jerry.
I am glad Jerry likes the challenge the website gives him and thank him for the time and effort he spends. We might have done all this without him, but he sure made it much, much easier and better.
