Friday May 27th; Leroy, Ks; Sunflower cafe

Post by herbyf »

This is not the first Friday SEK ride but Klem is getting me set up to do a better job. Last week I forgot to put the town on the agenda, that usually is quite important, and in spite of that error we had four show up at Murphy's Merchantile for lunch.. Dennis came all the way from Lecompton, and only got lost once or twice. He had some heavy rain to ride thru on his beemer! Good enchilladas and really great pie.

I am calling Sunflower cafe in Leroy tomorrow to confirm our time at 11:00 AM Friday the 27th in LeRoy, Kansas. A good place to eat and they always like to feed the Romeos. IF THERE IS A CHANGE I WILL POST IT IMEDIATELY TOMORROW!!

The weather geek lied to us and the slight chance of possible sprinkles turned into I should have put the Togg jacket on over the riding jacket because it wasn't water proof like they said it was and it rained about half the way both directions. But still a nice ride, always fun to join in with the southern Kansas riders. Food, service both always great at the Sunflower. No room for the pie, but that is worth a stop also.
