G-PA:

Am I right that this is the place on the East side of 69 Hwy and not the BBQ place in Downtown LaCygne? If so, I understand this place has pretty good BBQ, also. I will plan to go to the East side unless I read or hear otherwise.

We tried to get an accurate location our google map. Is this the location? Lyle can you open the map? Some people can't.

Roger:

The map appears to show a place on the West side of 69 Hwy. That would most likely be the Heavenly Cafe BBQ place up in the town of LaCygne. The place G-Pa Jack picked this week is actually to the East of 69 Hwy. Maybe a short quarter mile on the North side of the road. We've had a couple rides there but with not very good turn out. It would be good to bring a bunch in this Friday. They even have a large banquet room where they could segregate us if Randy and Lloyd start to get out of hand.

Hope the weather cooperates.

"The Family Cafe" is west of 69 HWY on 152 and east of the main drag in LaCygne about a mile. We went for a ride last night and went through LaCygne. It is across the road west of the farm supply store-Stainbrooks. There are storage units on the south side of 152 across from the cafe. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion.

I can't find Grandpa Jack and we need to clear up the confusion re: Friday's ride. I called the Family Cafe on the WEST side of 69 Hwy and they are not expecting us. I called the Longhorn Restaurant on the EAST side of 69 Hwy and no one there recalled talking to Jack about us coming there. So, as Grandpa's self-appointed executive assistant I am calling the ride to be at the

LONGHORN RESTAURANT
22932 E 2200 RD
LACYGNE, KS
913-757-6699

They are looking forward to having us be there and are located on the EAST side of 69 Hwy...first place on the North side of the road. Hope I did not step on any toes or cause any more confusion than we already had!

After much discussion we found the Family Café at Lacygne, KS. We been driving by this place for a few years, we should have been stopping. The ladies did a good job of taking care of us with good food, service and a true appreciation of our business. It seems this is the case in so many of our Romeo cafes as they are always looking forward to our return. Remember our mission to have a great time while also helping small town cafes that may not often have the opportunity to serve 40-70 additional customers on any given day. As always we try to arrive, eat, and be on our way before their regular lunch crowd arrives. We were in the parking lot leaving at 11:50. As Gary would say "mission accomplished". Following are a few pictures. Hope you enjoy.
