If you want to support a good cause and want a place to ride, Headquarters Counseling Center in Lawrence is sponsoring the 5th Annual Life Support Ride Poker Run for Suicide Prevention and Suicide Bereavement Support on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Registration starts at 11 AM at Johnny's Tavern, 2nd & Locust in North Lawrence. Donation: $20 per hand. Kickstands up at noon, heads out to Helen's Hilltop in Tonganoxie, to High Noon Saloon in Leavenworth, to Kobi's in Bonner Springs & ends up at Set 'Em Up Jack's in Lawrence.
