We will meet Friday the 16th at what is becoming a favorite Romeo stop, Silverado's in Piqua, KS. Silverado's is a bar/grill in a small, small farm community which is a very popular eatery for the area. They are nestled one block off Hwy 54, but most travelers are gazing at the big church or the huge grain elevator when passing by and won't even notice their existence. That doesn't matter anyways, the locals all know where they are.
Silverado's open at 11:00, so I will see you then or a little before.

Be Safe On The Road!

Wouldn't you know it, the first winter cold front arrived the night before our Friday ride to Piqua. Friday morning temps were in the low 40's with a 30-40 mph north wind. The temperature I can make adjustments for, the wind just plain sucks. We still had a group of seventeen Romeos arrive, with seven determined souls on two/three wheels. It was a little warmer for the trip home, but the wind was a little stronger. As far as I know, we all made it home safely.
Silverado's was a real treat as usual. They make some burgers that is just out of the ordinary. It is noticeable too, that they fill up at lunch time. For such a small joint, they appear to have a very strong following.
Oh, I almost forgot, Bob S. celebrated a birthday, I won't say how many. Janet brought a pan of awesome homemade brownies that she shared for the event. We sure enjoy Bob/Audrie making many of our Friday trips even though they are traveling a great distance. It's worth saying that they will be the first to arrive, and the last to leave. Lots of fun having them there.
