South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, May 22, 2024

Lets head east to the Latham Saloon. The chicken fried steak and burgers are calling all ROMEO's! They have a full menu of lunch meals, the two mentioned seem to be the favorite for our group. I will always take the chicken fried steak; real steak prepared as we wait and so so tasty!

They open at 11, but usually allow us in a few minutes early. It's about 50 miles for the Wichita riders, and 45 for the Mulvane - Derby guys. As of now the weather forecast wonderful, upper 60's at roll out and warmer tracking back.

They are expecting us, so lets show ROMEO strong. See you there! Charley

Latham Saloon was ready for us - 2 ladies buzzing about the business of taking orders, filling drinks and smiling full time. FACT! I had the best steak today than any other time, and that is big time because it is always splendid. Liked the taters too. All were pleased today.

We had 27 arrive on 26 motorcycles. No low mileage riders today. We had two massive mileage riders: McCoy and Corbin rolled from Eureka Springs Arkansas to arrive at Latham Saloon for ROMEO lunch - 265 miles each - leaving Arkansas very early and busting it to Latham Kansas. Awesome! The total mileage of all 26 bikes was 1618 miles. Super turnout today, Latham Saloon is a favorite and today proved it.

We will lunch again neat Wednesday. Be sure to check location. Winfield may the the location, I'll settle that soon.
