We’re going to head west this week to a familiar town but a new-to-Romeo lunch spot. I’ve ridden by this place many times but decided we needed to hit this one up for lunch. The burgers are phenomenal and the menu has a ton of lunch choices. If the burgers don’t strike your fancy, then maybe the pastrami burnt ends mac ‘n cheese or catfish strips will hit the spot. The Wednesday special is chicken strips, fries/tots and a drink for $11.50.
They open the door at 10:00 and I told them we’d start showing up then and that most of us would be there by 10:45. But you show up whenever it works out best for you!
So we’ll see you 10-ish at:

You couldn't ask for a better day for a motorcycle ride! Approximately 26 ROMEO's made the trek to Wamego for lunch at the 4th & Elm B&G. The count is approximate because this group can't sit still at the same time and I have a short attention span!
The food was very good and they had a very pleasant covered outdoor patio where they seated us together. Although we had never been to this restaurant before we'll add it to the list as an excellent place for a lunch ride, with the extra bonus that it's located at the northern end of the Flint Hills and there is some excellent riding in the area.
Since I'm out of practice at this coordinator gig, I almost forgot to take pictures but I got a few. If I missed anyone it certainly wasn't on purpose but you just can't get decent help these days.
I also forgot to "pass the hat" for our website collection effort but I'll try and remember next time. We haven't collected since 2021 and it costs us about $500 a year to maintain the website and the fund is tapped out. At that price it is still a major bargain and we can thank our former Romeo Jerry who moved to Houston years ago but still volunteers his time and expertise to manage our website on a volunteer basis. I think we can all agree that the website certainly is a valuable asset since it allows us to communicate effectively and share our adventures through pictures posted each week.
Finally, a few pictures to commemorate the day: It sure was a great day to be a ROMEO!![/size]
