May I begin by wishing everyone a “HAPPY VALANTINE’S DAY” ahead of our gathering time next week! Just in case some of you have forgotten (and God forbid that should ever happen) that our next Wednesday’s ride will take place on one of the more fun and notorious celebration days of the year. This is to be a time of giving our deepest gratitude to our friends, family, and loved ones.

This week’s pick will be a familiar place for most of us. It’s a cozy traditional small town family bar & eating establishment located in the heart of the little farm town of Valley Falls, Kansas. It’s full of nostalgic decor and imagery of Valley Falls. The Elevator has maintained its community’s rich cultural history. From rich tasty down-home cooking to warm friendly service, there's plenty to enjoy for all groups when gathering here.

Weather wise it's looking good and the temperatures are in our favor, 50's & 60's. If you haven’t ever been here, then you won’t want to miss this ride! Until then, “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you then.

Ah-oh! Somebody missed doing a very important job today and I hope they don’t get fired. What job in our organization could be so all fired important for a person to even come close to getting fired, you might ask? Well, our photographer found himself taking a nap today and by the time he woke-up and came to his senses, his opportunity for taking photos had passed . . . in other words he was “A day late and a dollar short!” That translates almost into NO photos and the few photos taken were shot after most everyone had left. Mercy! Mercy! Mercy! I’m going to have to have a good talk with him.

All was not lost though, for our day was a fabulous day to ride. Even if it was driving four wheels! On my way out some were asking how many came to this ride. My reply was, “How should I know, I was sleeping.” According to those who were counting and more aware of our numbers, it was said to be 20-25 for a final count. Now, with my apologies, enjoy the few photos that were captured for the day.
