I hope everyone has had a very “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!” If your holiday season was anything like mine, I came away with the feeling of Peace, Hope and Charity, and all is well with my soul. Especially after celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, the birthday of Christ, and emphasizing, “Jesus is the reason for the season.” As a believer and receiving such faith, I visualize the future as being quite bright!

That being said, let’s turn to business as usual and this week’s pick. In doing so, I think it’s time for some good ole’ smoked BBQ. This is a bonified “LUNCH RIDE” at an all-time favorite BBQ place that most of us like. After viewing a long-range weather forecast, it looks like the day will be free of any precipitation. But if there should be any ugly weather to contend with, we have several options, saddle-up … crawl in a cage … or just opt to stay at home. I can’t speak for anyone else but if there’s any crazy weather, I will always opt for the cage and, even then, that may not be do-able or suitable.! The doors will be open at 10:30 am, especially for us.

Once the doors are opened, go in to be seated and the servers will start taking orders. You may want to ask for their really tasty BBQ special with your choice of sides. There is a menu with a lot of other choices should you be in the mood for something other than one “honking good BBQ” sandwich. For you burger lovers, they make one whale of a burger here. Our ride today began with low visibility with dense fog and a slippery spot or two in some places. But those of us who made our way to this lunch ride arrived safe and sound. By noon time it all lifted, and the blue skies gave way to the bright shining sun for the rest of the day. We all enjoyed our lunch and visit and then returned home with clear skies and sunshine.
